Ola Koʻolauloa

The BYU—Hawaii Theatre Program presented, "Ola Koʻolauloa" written and directed by Kristl Densley, is a family-friendly play that follows the story of Lā'iekawai, a young girl who discovers her identity and heritage through a magical box transporting her to the past. With themes of family, responsibility, and Hawaiian mythology, the play explores the importance of caring for each other and understanding one's cultural roots. Makuakaʻūmana is one of the characters in the past Hawaiian mythology where he was swallowed by the whale. Makuakaʻūmana was played by Terrell Wu.
